Feedback from 2020 Summit

Just some of the excellent feedback we received for the 1st Virtual Pain Summit 2020.

Thoroughly enjoyed the sessions attended

"I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions I attended. It was nice to hear about the studies, research and practice from various parts of the world. I especially enjoyed the mindfulness session and the pain management program session, both topics were very informative and I look forward to incorporating my learning into service provision and future education programs."

Needs to increasingly filter into undergraduate training

"This information needs to increasingly filter into undergraduate training. I now work with the rehab code and claims going on in the background. Pushing for psychol/social/emotional/spirtual/life events approach but still needing to tick off the list medical and person is miles along from injury - so often referred people year or two down the line and already fixated and about to have or just had surgery and guess what - a year on they wish they never had."

Fantastic way to connect the best researchers and communicators in Pain Science

A fantastic way to connect the best researchers and communicators in Pain Science and therapists/researchers like myself. Dissemination of the latest evidence based research and patient insights is key to driving this always evolving topic forward.

I thought this was a fantastic event, full of excellent information, and I'm very grateful to be able to access this from NZ - two sleepless nights, but well worth it!

Purchased an all access pass so I can watch the sessions at leisure

I had planned to attend sessions at the time, but ended up deciding to purchase an all access pass and watch the sessions at my leisure over the coming weeks so I can digest it all - one session at a time before moving on to the next. This fits in much better with my learning style and ability to gradually apply what I learn.

What a fantastic conference!

What a fantastic conference. Exactly what was needed in the current climate. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole two days and thought it was a very well thought out programme. All the speakers were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the live panel discussion, it was a shame there was not more time for questions.

The conference set a base foundation for guiding me better

The conference was a good opportunity to hear all experts talk about chronic pain and listen to the multiple perspectives on the same. It definitely sets a base foundation for guiding me better in understanding and treating patients in this category. Overall it was quiet satisfactory and gives hope to those who still want to learn despite distance barriers. Looking forward to another high quality seminar conducted by your group.

Grateful for the All Access Pass

Thank you for a great initiative! I’m grateful to have the copies as I only watched 5 video presentations as it was a lot to take in, in one sitting, but I’m looking forward to watching the others in my own time so I can digest all this and be able to implement it in my practice

Reaffirmed my own practice

I have learned that there is no single way to manage pain and holistic remains the gold standard. Content reaffirmed my own practice and also encouraged reflection on what could be improved.

Brilliant that we could register for free for the event

It was brilliant that we could register for free for the event, and this made it accessible to a wider audience. The majority of talks were very helpful and I enjoyed the variety in content. It was really interesting to hear about different approaches to working with clients with chronic pain.
