Dr Nathan Hutting is currently working as a researcher at the HAN University of Applied Sciences, research group Occupation & Health in The Netherlands. Nathan is also working as a physiotherapist and manual therapist in a private practice and is a board member of the Dutch Association for Manual Therapy and the Member Organisation delegate of the Netherlands to the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists. His current research topics include (work related) musculoskeletal conditions, self-management, shared decision making, patient centred care, and the integration of occupational factors within physiotherapy practice. Nathan was trained as a Chronic Disease Self-Management Master Trainer at the Self-Management Resource Center in Palo Alto, USA. Nathan has given many (inter)national presentations and chaired focused symposia at WCPT congresses in 2017 and 2019 and at the IFOMPT conference in 2016. He will also be chairing focused symposia at the World Physiotherapy Congress in 2021 and the IFOMPT Conference in 2022.
At the Summit, Dr Hutting will be talking about “Individualized self-management support in healthcare consultations.”
